Public service announcement: extreme weather warning

Mexico is in the grip of an unprecendented cold spell. Yesterday schools closed in Veracruz when temperatures plummeted to 2ºc. Northern Mexico has been brought to a standstill by frost. It's still about 14ºc here in the Yucatan so everyone is bitching about the cold and the Mega Pelican supermarket is crowded with people buying extra warm blankets.
